This free event showcases over 500 cars as they line the streets of historic downtown Escondido on East Grand Avenue. Can’t make opening night? No sweat. Cruisin’ Grand runs every Friday night from April through September. Get ready for a roaring good time!

Looking to explore a hiking trail in North County? Check out Calaveras Preserve Trail in East Carlsbad. A little over 3 miles, this loop takes you up a hillside with views to the west. A moderate hike that is dog friendly just remember to keep your pup on a leash.
Fuel the soul and embrace the beauty with a hike at Torrey Pines Natural Reserve. Trails are open daily at 7:15am and close at sunset. Located right along the coastline, this fragile environment is home to our nation’s rarest pine tree – Pinus torreyana. Needless to say, Theodor Geisel (better known as Dr. Suess) used these trees as inspiration for his illustrations in books such as The Cat in the Hat. Just another reason to visit and enjoy the great outdoors!
