Many of the folks we’ve helped find their home have questions beyond the transaction. Come to think of it, that’s just the beginning. So, why is it that Real Estate agents are out of the picture after the sale? Well I’m sure most people have their opinions as to that answer.

The first series we hosted dug into the subject of Taxes. It’s such a serious topic but we felt it was necessary since that’s what most people have questions about this especially during tax season.
Ron Watts of Landmark Services came to speak to us about taxes & the differences of filing once you own real estate. He also shed some light on deductions & tax assessments. He reminded the class that you can also deduct all of the expenses of the home purchase transaction. For example: Non-recurring closing costs are a great tax deduction that most people forget about. So be sure to take your Final HUD to your tax preparer this year, if you bought or sold a home last year.
Overall the class was informative & the audience response was positive. It probably helped that we had food there too since the class was held in the evening.
