Have you purchased a home, and want the photos removed from display online? Here is a quick breakdown-
I see photos of my home on 1850realty.com, why can you display them?
Internet Data Exchange, aka IDX: This set of rules is set forth and manged by Sandicor, San Diego’s regional multiple listing service. Rule 12.16 Use of Active and Sold Listing Information on Internet (Also known as Internet Data Exchange “IDX”) Page 38 allows the display of MLS data on our website. It also says we are unable to alter data displayed, such as removing photos from a sold property. Rule 11.7 Photographs, Virtual Tours and other Media on the MLS Page 30 stipulates that the photographs displayed are owned or licensed by the listing agent for display on the MLS. When you purchase a home, these photos do not transfer ownership to you, nor are they under the new home buyer’s control.
