Love North County Beaches?
Here’s your chance to show your love & support!
Surfrider Foundation and San Diego Coastkeeper are coordinating a beach cleanup this Saturday at Ponto Jetty in South Carlsbad. Residents of all ages are encouraged to help protect and preserve our local beaches.
Volunteers are asked to meet at the beach parking lot south of the jetty and lagoon. BYOB–Bring Your Own Reusable Bag, Bucket, Bottle and Gloves. There will be supplies on hand, but volunteers are asked to bring their own work gloves, reusable bag/bucket and/or reusable water bottle, as supplies are limited.

Directions: From I-5 North or South: Exit at Poinsettia Lane and head west. Turn left (south) onto Carlsbad Blvd (Coast Highway 101) and continue to South Carlsbad State Beach parking area on the right just before the hill. If you pass La Costa Ave, you’ve gone too far.
Not to worry if you can’t help this weekend, there’s a chance to help cleanup a North County Beach on the second Saturday of the month (Oceanside to Torrey Pines) OR on the third Saturday of the month, cleanups are hosted at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. Click here for a schedule.
All volunteers are welcome to participate and must sign a liability waiver, but volunteers under 18 MUST have a parent or guardian sign the waiver before the minor can participate.
Pre-registration is NOT required unless your group has more than 25 people. If you expect a large group, please Contact and let us know which cleanup you would like to help with and how many people.
