Car enthusiasts mark your calendars! Opening night of Cruisin’ Grand in Escondido is tonight from 5-9pm! This free event showcases over 500 cars as they line the streets of historic downtown Escondido on East Grand Avenue. Can’t make opening night? No sweat. Cruisin’ Grand runs every Friday night from April through September. Get ready for a roaring good time!
Are you looking to spice up your palette and try something totally new? Do you have a list of restaurants you have been meaning to try? Now is your chance. Join the community in celebrating local culinary flavors and local libations for Taste of Leucadia on Thursday, April 7th from 5:30-8:30pm. 30th Annual Fallbrook Avocado Festival
Celebrate the agricultural heritage of Fallbrook at the annual Fallbrook Avocado Festival! Did we say “Avocado” Festival?!? We certainly did. Enjoy craft + food booths, artisan walks, beer garden, live bands, educational area and obviously a farmer’s market for you to purchase some of the goodness for yourself! Kids LOVE this festival! Looking to explore a hiking trail in North County? Check out Calaveras Preserve Trail in East Carlsbad. A little over 3 miles, this loop takes you up a hillside with views to the west. A moderate hike that is dog friendly just remember to keep your pup on a leash.
Fuel the soul and embrace the beauty with a hike at Torrey Pines Natural Reserve. Trails are open daily at 7:15am and close at sunset. Located right along the coastline, this fragile environment is home to our nation’s rarest pine tree – Pinus torreyana. Needless to say, Theodor Geisel (better known as Dr. Suess) used these trees as inspiration for his illustrations in books such as The Cat in the Hat. Just another reason to visit and enjoy the great outdoors!

Boys & Girls Club Auction Dinner – San Marcos
An Adventure in Oz is the theme for the 37th Annual auction fundraising dinner at the Boy’s & Girl’s Club of San Marcos. Over 3000 youth say, “ There’s no place like the Club” & are looking to raise money for their home away from home. A silent auction with all sorts of cool prizes followed by a gourmet dinner, guests are encouraged to dress up in their best oz attire.
