Jump in that barrel and start stomping at the Grape Day Festival and Parade in Escondido on Sept. 6th! After you are all stomped out, enjoy entertainment, contests, gourmet food trucks, and a wine and craft beer pavilion. Oh, and did we mention free grapes?!? For early birds, grab your running shoes and participate in a 5k run encompassed by marching bands and historic cars at 7:30am prior to the festival.
The sites and scents of a Greek marketplace will be recreated right here in North County. Enjoy the 36th Annual Greek Festival in Cardiff with folk dancers, musicians, pottery, jewelry, artwork and of course, traditional Greek cuisine. Gyros, shish-kabobs, sausage to spinach pies and pastries – it is going to be one delicious and eventful experience! Admission $3 Adults, Children 12+ under, Free.
Food, entertainment and fun for the whole family! Cruise on over to the Poway Community Park in Poway on Sept. 6th for the 50th Annual Poway Days Parade. This event includes a 5k race, pancake breakfast, old-fashioned parade and Motorhead Madness Event! Parade begins at 9:00am. Get there early to cheer on the runners in the annual 5k race at 7am.
Throw on your blue and gold jersey, start grilling some wings, and get ready for the Chargers as they kick-off their first game of the season against the Cardinals! Feel like getting out of the house, but craving some delicious game day food? Check out the new Buffalo Wild Wings in Oceanside. This place is filled with a plethora of TV’s – not a bad seat in the house! Go Chargers!
Don’t miss the 11th Annual Carlsbad Music Festival from Sept. 19-21! Experience world-class performers and composers right in the heart of the ever-so-charming Carlsbad Village. The Festival has not only been praised by local media, but national media as well including the Los Angeles Times who claimed the festival as “magnificently enlightening.” This is definitely something that is “note-worthy.” Don’t miss it! Cheers! The 19th Annual Encinitas Octoberfest is just around the corner! In addition to the authentic German food and beers from national and local breweries, this year’s event will also feature a Craft Corner highlighting craft breweries unique stamp on Oktoberfest. Performances by The Bluebirds (a German-American band), Vavarian dancers and a street craft faire with over 200 vendors! Event is from 10am-5pm on Sept. 21st with a kick-off parade at 12pm.
San Diego offers so many delicious restaurants and food choices, but sometimes it’s difficult to break your routine and try something new. Now is your chance! San Diego Restaurant Week is here once again from Sept. 21-26th! Over 180 participating restaurants will be offering three-course prix-fixe dinner and lunch menus.
